Sometimes the Rain, Sometimes the Sea is a modern retelling of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid with a little bit Andersen’s real life conflicts blurring in and out of his storytelling. Umbrellas ended up being a huge motif in this piece which proved to be a challenge as they would break often due to the mass amounts of strain from the blocking.
